Municipal Elections

The conduct of Municipal Elections is regulated by the Municipal Elections Act.  Municipal Elections are currently held once every four years where a Mayor and four Councillors are elected at large to a four year term.

To be eligible to vote a person must:

  • be a Canadian Citizen;
  • be at least 18 years old;
  • reside in the Township of Blandford-Blenheim or are the owner or tenant of land in the Township of Blandford-Blenheim, or the spouse or the same-sex partner of the owner or tenant of land in the Township of Blandford-Blenheim;
  • not prohibited to vote by law.
