The present Township Council was elected for a four-year term ending in November, 2014.  Council consists of one Mayor, and four Councillors elected at large across the Township.  The Mayor is the head of Council and spokesperson for the Township.

Through a mandate given to Township Council by the voting majority at election time, Council provides general direction
to the municipal corporation through its policy decisions. These decisions are the 'policy tone' that drive service levels, property taxes to name a few. The Township Council is a legislative body that, among other things, establish and interpret bylaws, establishes planning guidelines for the Township, and approves operating and capital budgets.  The Mayor and Council are always receptive to your input and comments, and your attendance at Committee or Council is welcome.
