Princeton Drainage Works Phase Completion
Princeton has been under construction since the spring with all streets being reconstructed to an urban standard complete with curb and gutters. Residents in Princeton on the north side of the CN tracks were affected by this phase. (Gissing St. Cowan St. McQueen St. Main St N. & Roper St.)
As part of the road reconstruction the existing drainage systems needed to be enlarged and to have appropriate storm water management.
All new drainage work is pursuant to the Drainage Act meaning a share of the costs are to be borne by each property for drainage improvements. Details of this were posted to the Township website in spring 2022, followed by several mail outs to the whole village of Princeton.
Property owners would have received three notices by regular mail, including:
- Notice of On-Site Meeting;
- Notice of Consideration of the Report; and,
- Notice of Court of Revision.
Property owners were directed to the website to view the schedule of assessment to their property, available here:
For the next phase of the works, invoices will be sent in late February 2025, with a 30 day due date and the option to debenture the cost over a five year term.
