Changes to Recycling Collection for Businesses – Action Required

Under Ontario’s new producer responsibility framework, producers will only be required to collect recycling materials from residential properties. Beginning January 2, 2026, small businesses and other organizations currently receiving Blue Box collection from their local municipality will no longer be eligible for recycling pick-up under the provincial program.

To address this change, Oxford County is launching a new recycling collection program for businesses. Eligible businesses must register online and meet the program requirements to participate.
