Upcoming Council Meeting – November 5, 2025

The Township of Blandford-Blenheim will hold its next Regular Meeting of Council on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. in the Township Council Chambers. Residents may also watch the meeting live on the Township’s YouTube channel.

This meeting’s agenda includes several key items of community and corporate interest, including:

Planning & Growth Management

Council will receive a presentation from Oxford County Policy Planning staff regarding proposed updates to the implementation policies of the Official Plan.

Economic Development

Rural Oxford Economic Development will present its 2026–2030 Economic Development Strategic Plan for Council’s information.

Resident Correspondence

Council will review correspondence related to:
• a proposal to decommission a portion of River Road and Oxford-Waterloo Road near the closed bridge; and
• a request to waive the 30% facility booking fee for a community event.

Public Works & Infrastructure

Items include the monthly Public Works report and the appointment of an engineer under the Drainage Act to prepare a new drainage report for the Sparks Drain.

Recreation & Community Services

Council will consider staff reports related to partnership agreements and community programming, including new adult recreation initiatives.

Corporate Services & Finance

Council will review the proposed 2026 Fees & Charges, with direction to prepare the corresponding by-law for consideration at the December 3, 2025, Council meeting.

2026 Municipal Election

Council will consider authorizing agreements with Intelivote Systems Inc. and DataFix to provide Internet and Telephone Voting services for the 2026 Municipal Election.

By-laws & Closed Session

Council will consider a Zoning By-law Amendment (ZN1-22-07), along with the Confirming By-law. A Closed Session will also be held to address matters permitted under Section 239 of the Municipal Act, including security of municipal property, human resources policy updates, land matters, and solicitor-client communications.
