Public Works
The Township of Blandford-Blenheim Public Works Department helps maintain and support the infrastructure and services that residents rely on every day. From maintaining roads and bridges to winter control, drainage systems, signage, and roadside maintenance, the Department works year-round to help keep the community safe, connected, and moving.
The Department is responsible for the maintenance and operation of approximately 331 kilometres of municipal roads, along with a variety of other municipal infrastructure and services throughout the Township.
Public Works services include:
- Roads construction projects
- Sidewalks
- Trees
- Ongoing road maintenance work
- Grass mowing
- Bridges and culverts
- Snow removal
- Signs
- Storm drain and catch basin maintenance
- Yard waste and leaf depots
The Public Works Department is committed to providing reliable municipal services while maintaining infrastructure in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner.
Snow Conditions and Removal
The Township operates snowplows to remove snow from public roadways in the winter. All roads are also patrolled by our Public Works department, which assesses the safety of Township roads.
In the event that the roads are deemed unsafe for travel, they will be closed until the conditions are clear. Tune into your local radio station for road closures due to poor road conditions.
