Fall Watermain Flushing Begins September 16 in Drumbo and Princeton
Oxford County’s annual fall watermain flushing program will begin on Wednesday, September 16, with flushing scheduled in Drumbo and Princeton.
Watermain flushing is part of regular maintenance of the municipal drinking water system. During flushing, residents may temporarily experience discoloured water or sediment.
Residents in affected areas are encouraged to set aside tap water ahead of time to avoid drawing discoloured water into household plumbing. Once flushing is complete, if you experience discoloured water, run a cold water tap until the water runs clear.
Additional flushing is scheduled for the week of September 28 in Lakeside, Mount Elgin, Embro, Beachville, Bright, Hickson and Dereham Centre.
