Notice of Intent – Noise By-law Exemption Request (Private Wedding)
The Township of Blandford-Blenheim has received a request for an exemption to Noise By-law 2357-2023 to permit amplified sound associated with a private wedding celebration at a residence in Drumbo.
The proposed event will take place on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at 48 Pinkham Street, Drumbo. The request includes one live musician performing between approximately 3:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., followed by recorded background music until 12:00 a.m. (midnight). All amplified sound will cease by midnight.
Residents are invited to submit comments or objections to the Clerk on or before 12:00 p.m. (noon) on July 8, 2026. Submissions should include any concerns and supporting reasons.
Council will consider the exemption request at its meeting on July 8, 2026, at 4:00 p.m., held at the Township Administration Office, 47 Wilmot Street South, Drumbo.

NOTICE OF INTENT TO REQUEST EXEMPTION FROM NOISE BY-LAW
TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Township of Blandford-Blenheim through the Municipal Clerk has received a request for an exemption from the Noise By-law 2357-2023;
AND TAKE NOTICE that any person or organization may make comment, by filing with the Clerk of the Township of Blandford-Blenheim on or before 12:00 p.m. (noon) of the 8th of July, 2026, a comment setting out the objection to the by-law exemption request and the reasons supporting the objection.
The purpose of the exemption request is to permit a private wedding celebration to be held on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at 48 Pinkham Street, Drumbo, Ontario.
The applicant is requesting permission for one live musician performing vocals and acoustic guitar using a single sound system between approximately 3:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., followed by recorded background music through a single speaker system until 12:00 a.m. (midnight). All amplified sound shall cease by 12:00 a.m.
The Council of the Township of Blandford-Blenheim will be considering the exemption request at their July 8th, 2026 Meeting of Council to be held at 4:00 p.m. at the Township of Blandford-Blenheim Administration Office Council Chambers at 47 Wilmot St. S. Drumbo, Ontario N0J 1G0.
This Notice hereby satisfies By-law 2357-2023 Section 6, xi., exemption granted by permit of Council, proof of publication of notice.
