Road Closure Update – Main Street North, Princeton (CN Rail)

The Township has been advised by Oxford County that the road closure on Main Street North at the CN Rail crossing in Princeton has been extended.

The closure, originally scheduled to end May 1, will now remain in place until Wednesday, May 6 at 6:00 p.m. to allow for the full completion of rail line crossing rehabilitation and paving work. This approach will eliminate the need for a second closure at a later date.

Closure Details:
Main Street North is closed at the CN Rail crossing, with no emergency access available over the rail line during construction. Portions of the roadway will remain open to local traffic only, where indicated.

Detour Route:
Through traffic is required to follow the signed detour route:
Highway 2 → Gobles Road → Township Road 2 → Roper Street

Residents and motorists are encouraged to plan alternate routes and allow additional travel time.
