Township Announces Appointment of Interim Director of Public Works
The Township of Blandford-Blenheim is pleased to announce the appointment of Lee Robinson, P.Eng., as Interim Director of Public Works, effective October 21, 2026.
The appointment follows the sudden passing of the Township's longtime Director of Public Works, Jim Borton, CRS, in September. Jim's passing has been a profound loss for the Township, its employees, and the broader community.
Lee brings extensive senior municipal leadership experience, with a strong background in public works operations, municipal development, infrastructure management, and engineering services. She will serve in a part-time capacity through early 2027 while the Township undertakes recruitment for a permanent Director of Public Works.
"Jim's passing has been an incredibly difficult time for our organization, and his contributions to the Township will not be forgotten," said Mayor Peterson. "We are sincerely grateful to Lee for stepping forward to support the Township during this transition. Her experience and willingness to assist are greatly appreciated, and we look forward to welcoming her to our team."
Chief Administrative Officer Josh Brick also expressed appreciation for Lee's appointment, highlighting her municipal leadership experience, professional engineering expertise, and understanding of Oxford County and rural municipalities.
The Township remains committed to maintaining the high standard of public works services that residents and businesses rely upon throughout this transition.
