Seasonal Road Patroller

The Township of Blandford-Blenheim is currently accepting applications for a Seasonal Part-Time Road Patroller to join our Public Works team for the 2026–2027 winter season.

Reporting to the Road Supervisor and Lead Hands, the Road Patroller will monitor municipal roads for snow, ice, changing weather conditions, obstructions and other hazards that may require a winter maintenance response. Duties include conducting road patrols, maintaining accurate records, identifying and reporting hazardous conditions, determining when a winter maintenance response is required, and communicating with Public Works staff regarding changing road conditions and operational needs.

The anticipated employment period is approximately November 1, 2026, to April 1, 2027, subject to weather and operational requirements. Regular hours are expected to be Monday to Friday, 3:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m., with additional hours potentially available or required depending on weather and operational needs.

Compensation is Township Band 4, $27.97–$34.97 per hour.
